In-Person Students Return to Campus Starting the Week of March 29

We are excited to welcome our In-Person Program students back on campus starting the week of March 29, 2021! We want to make sure that all students and families know of our COVID related rules and procedures that are now in place. All of our teachers and staff are excited to have students back on campus! Please pay close attention to the links below, including our return to campus procedures video ( Your cooperation and adherence to our COVID safety guidelines will be essential as we return back to campus.

Important Safety Points to Remember

Check your health before you leave home

Arrive to school early for your temperature check       

   (campus opens at 8:55am)

Keep your face mask on at all times

Wash your hands frequently

Wipe down your desks and shields

Remain socially distanced at all times

Follow the path of travel arrows

Remain in your chosen quad for lunch

Bathrooms are located on the first floor

If you are sick, tell a staff member

Remember to leave campus at the end of the day

Site-Specific Protection Plan - This RUSD approved plan aligns with federal, state, and local health guidelines.

Student Pick Up / Drop Off and Parking Map - Please review this link in order to know the procedures for student drop off, pick up, and parking on campus.

MLKHS Passing Period Foot Traffic Map - In order to reduce potential cross traffic contamination, students will need to follow this path of travel map as they move from class to class throughout the campus. 

Student Parking Permits Requests through - If parking on campus, students will need to complete a parking permit request. Students need to be logged into their account to access the form. We will email student accounts when their pass is ready to pick up at the attendance office.

Attendance for In-Person -  How is it different for in-person days? What about absences or leaving for an appointment?

Self Health Check and Contacting Attendance

Please check students for symptoms associated with COVID-19 prior to leaving their home. Symptoms associated with COVID-19 include: fever (100.4 or more), cough, difficulty breathing, loss of taste/smell, Red or itchy eyes, congestion/runny nose, nausea/vomiting/diarrhea, sore throat, headache, fatigue, and muscle or body aches. If students have any symptoms associated with COVID-19, have tested positive for COVID within the last 14 days, or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID within the last 14 days, then they need to stay home. Contact the attendance by phone at (951) 789-5690 or through email at, and tell them the reason why the student is staying home. Our district assigned COVID Nurse will reach out to you with further information. Please contact the attendance office with any other attendance questions and/or requests.

MLKHS In-Person Special Education SDC Schedule

• PE Students - For their first day of PE, students will be meeting on the black top behind the pool (CLICK HERE see pg 2). 

• Students and Parents - If you need to speak with your counselor, please email them to set up a virtual meeting.  Counselors want students to be involved in their instruction with their teachers and classmates while they are on campus. They will set up meetings with students during the days they are at home during the Independent Time.

• Students with a “No Class” on their Schedule - Students with “no class” listed on their schedule should carry a print out or digital copy of their schedule to verify their approved late arrival and/or early dismissal. Arrival and dismissal for these students will be through the A-building.   

Breakfasts and Lunches
We will be offering grab and go lunches to all students free of charge. Breakfast for the following day will be provided in the afternoon. Parent item drop offs, including food, will not be permitted. Students may bring their own lunch if they choose to do so.
