Mike West, Principal
Mr. West began his career in education as an Athletic Trainer at Ayala High School in 1994 where he also eventually taught World History, PE, and ROP Sports Medicine. In 2000, he was hired to open Chino Hills High School as its first Athletic Director. In 2007, he became an administrator in the Jurupa Unified School District serving as an Assistant Principal at Patriot High School, Principal at The Learning Center, and Principal at Jurupa Valley High School. He became the Principal of Martin Luther King High School in the fall of 2015. Mr. West is Past President of the California Athletic Trainers Association and currently serves the State CIF as a member of the Sports Medicine Advisory Committee and the CIF Southern Section as a member of the Executive Committee. He lives in the King community along with his wife Rhonda and three children Kevin, Brian, and Michelle.

Amanda Chann, Assistant Principal
Mrs. Chann is in her eighth year as a secondary administrator and her second year at Martin Luther King High School. She has 21 years of experience as an educator and has served students as an English Teacher, AVID Teacher, ASB Director, and Athletic Director during this time. Mrs. Chann received her bachelors degree from Southern Connecticut State University and her Masters Degree from California Baptist University. Mrs. Chann, along with her husband and son, is a Riverside resident and is very proud to serve students and families in RUSD.

"Success isn't given. It's earned. In the classroom, on the track, on the field, in the gym. With blood, sweat, and the occasional tear." These words ring true across all aspects of life and the world of academia. Mr. George is a proud graduate of the University of Redlands with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business. He received his Masters Degree from Chapman University in the area of Education, focusing on Administration. Mr. George has been involved in the arena of education for the past 24 years. He has served the youth of Riverside as a Social Science Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, and now as an Athletic Director. Mr. George looks forward to leading the Athletics Department here at Martin Luther King High School as we focus on the PEAK Principles (Promoting Educational Athletics at King). Mr. George lives in our community with his beautiful wife Elise, and his three children Kathryn, Getty, and Robert. "Let's get to work..."

Leann Iacuone, Assistant Principal


Mrs. Iacuone has been working in the field of education since 1999. Originally from South Carolina where she attended Irmo High School, followed by the University of South Carolina for her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Athletic Training. She received a graduate assistantship as an Athletic Trainer to attend Furman University to earn her Masters of Arts in Teaching and was recruited by Laurens County School District 55 as a Science Teacher and Athletic Trainer. She finished her PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from Clemson University in 2015. in 2013 she moved to California to work as an Assistant Principal at John W. North High School. Mrs. Iacuone is excited to join the ML King High School Team!

Tami Krueger, ASB Director

Mrs. Krueger graduated in 1984 from California State University Fullerton and immediately began her teaching career at Arlington High School. She taught Physical Education, Dance, and coached the Dance Team during her time as a lion. In her fifteen years at Arlington, she helped choreograph NFL football half-time shows and the Olympic opening ceremonies then in the summer she would travel to Sendai, Japan where she taught dance for five years. In 1987 she was named the Activities Director at Arlington where she remained until 1999 when she was hired as King's first Activities Director. In 2005 she stepped away from teaching and enjoyed raising her own children. Six years ago, she once again returned to King High as the Activities Director. She lives with her husband and has five children. Four of her kids, Kaylee, Deantre, and Carl, all graduated from Arizona State University. Her youngest Kassie, plays basketball for California State University Los Angeles. In addition she has two grandchildren with grand baby number three due in January.

David Waldram, Assistant Principal



Mr. Waldram began his career in education in 2004 working at Chapman University's Interfaith Center where he and previously received his BA in Film and TV Production. He received his MA in Teaching from Chapman University in 2008. In 2007 he was hired at his alma mater Tustin High School to teach History/Social Science, Video Production, and Model United Nations Leadership Academy courses. In 2015, Mr. Waldram became an administrator in the Riverside Unified School District serving as an Assistant Principal here at Martin Luther King High School. Mr. Waldram enjoys coaching MUN teams, creating film/media projects, and actively serving in his community. Mr. Waldram and his amazing wife Kendra have three wonderful children McKenzie, Aubrey, and Wyatt.

Jeff Wray, Assistant Principal


Originally from the Central Valley, Mr. Wray moved to Southern California to attend the University of Redlands where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He earned his Masters of Science degree in Special Education from National University. Mr. Wray has been working in the field of educatoin since 2002 where he began his educational career in Redlands Unified School District teaching at Clement Middle School and then on to Redlands East Valley High School. He became an Assistant Principal in Jurupa Unified School District at Jurupa Valley High School in 2014. Mr. Wray came to Riverside Unified School District in 2016 as an Assistant Principal at Martin Luther King High School.
