MLKHS Women in Engineering seeks to empower women in STEM fields, specifically in engineering. Club members will learn about various engineering opportunities MLKHS has to offer through our college readiness series. Additionally, individuals will be enabled in their pursuit of an engineering degree and/or career.
Members will gain invaluable engineering-related experiences, through hands-on application and field trips. In previous years, we’ve gone to Google’s Headquarters in Silicon Valley, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), the California Science Center, and more! Hands-on application of engineering principles/concepts include activities such as Sphero robot programming and an annual gingerbread building competition.
Additionally, members will be able to engage with various philanthropy or volunteering opportunities. (We’ve previously participated in Operation Christmas Child!)
All individuals, regardless of gender, are welcomed to become a member of MLKHS Women in Engineering!
Meetings will be held in Ms. Guzman’s room (G105).
