Your student will be taking one or more of the following California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) assessments.  Juniors (11th) will take CAASPP ELA & Math and CAST Science. Seniors (12th) will take only CAST Science.

Students should prepare their Chromebooks for testing. Teachers will be guiding them, but parents may also wish to ensure student Chromebooks are ready to go before testing begins.

  • Share the testing schedule with your student.  If they have questions they should talk to their English or Social Science teacher.
  • Talk to your students about bringing their School Issued Chromebooks, fully charged, each day from April 4-19 (juniors) or April 18-19 (seniors).
  • If they do not have a school issued Chromebook, they will need to check one out from the library. I will also be communicating directly with students who do not have a school issued Chromebook, by memo sent during 3rd period on Tuesday March 29.
  • Your student is encouraged to bring and use their own wired earbuds if they have the 3.5mm jack. Air pods or Bluetooth earbuds are not allowed. Otherwise, they will use school issued earbuds.
  • Please have your student check to make sure they have the required secure browser.  On their school issued Chromebook, go to the bottom left corner, click on Apps, and they should see SecureTestBrowser on the list. (image below) If they do not, then they will need to check out a newer Chromebook from the library.
