MLK Red Cross is a youth initiative that aims to alleviate human suffering through service, education, and leadership as volunteers of the American Red Cross.
We participate in activities that align with the Red Cross’s humanitarian mission (and Seven Fundamental Principles — humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality) by holding volunteer projects, leadership training, and fundraising events throughout the school year to benefit members and our local community.
Club service projects follow the Red Cross’s five lines of service: Lifesaving Blood, Disaster Relief, Health and Safety, International Services, and Youth Preparedness.
MLK Red Cross members complete CPR training. We also help organize and support our community’s annual Blood Drive. Through your engagement, we can all help to make a change and ameliorate unnecessary suffering.
