Mike West, Principal
Mr. West Mr. West began his career in education as an Athletic Trainer at Ayala High School in 1994 where he also eventually taught World History, PE, and ROP Sports Medicine. In 2000, he was hired to open Chino Hills High School as its first Athletic Director. In 2007, he became an administrator in the Jurupa Unified School District serving as an Assistant Principal at Patriot High School, Principal at The Learning Center, and Principal at Jurupa Valley High School. He became the Principal of Martin Luther King High School in the fall of 2015. Mr. West is the current Past President of the CIF Southern Section Executive Committee, a member of the CIF State Executive Committee, former President of the California Athletic Trainers Association, and currently serves the State CIF as a member of the Sports Medicine Advisory Committee. He lives in the King community along with his wife Rhonda and three children Kevin, Brian, and Michelle.

  Getty George, Assistant Principal (Athletics)
Mr. George
"Success isn't given. It's earned. In the classroom, on the track, on the field, in the gym. With blood, sweat, and the occasional tear." These words ring true across all aspects of life and the world of academia. Mr. George is a proud graduate of the University of Redlands with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business. He received his Masters Degree from Chapman University in the area of Education, focusing on Administration. Mr. George has been involved in the arena of education for over 25 years. He has served the youth of Riverside as a Social Science Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, and now as an Athletic Director. Mr. George looks forward to leading the Athletics Department here at Martin Luther King High School as we focus on the PEAK Principles (Promoting Educational Athletics at King). Mr. George lives in our community with his beautiful wife Elise, and his three children Kathryn, Getty, and Robert. "Let's get to work..."

  Larry Harris, Assistant Principal (Student Support Services Grades 9-10) 
Mr. Harris

Prior to becoming an Assistant Principal at Martin Luther King High School, Mr. Harris taught Spanish for 7 years at San Bernardino High School. Mr. Harris served as a Link Crew Coordinator, a BSU advisor, and a Climate and Culture advisor. Mr. Harris has educated and mentored several hundred at risk students. In 2004, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business from California State University, San Bernardino, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. He then went on to earn his Master's in Public Administration from California State University, San Bernardino in 2009. Mr. Harris and his wife, Blanca, have 3 children. Mr. Harris is passionate about education and is excited to be a part of the ML King High School team.

  Shauntala Jones, Assistant Principal (Student Support Services 11-12)

Mrs. Jones has over 14 years of experience in the education field. She started her career in 2008 shortly after graduating with her undergraduate degree from Sam Houston University. She has had the pleasure of being a CTE teacher, curriculum developer, and TOSA of expanded learning for grades 6-12. She received a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from CSUSM in 2018. Prior to joining the Pack, she was the Director of Student Engagement in San Diego servicing students impacted by homelessness. It is Mrs. Jones' sincere belief that with appropriate support and opportunities, every student can be successful. Mrs. Jones currently lives in Menifee with her husband of ten years, Reginald, and their two sons, Noah and Asher. She is elated to be a part of the MLK family. Go Wolves!

  Tami Krueger, Activities Director

Mrs. Krueger graduated in 1984 from California State University Fullerton and immediately began her teaching career at Arlington High School. She taught Physical Education, Dance, and coached the Dance Team during her time as a lion. In her fifteen years at Arlington, she helped choreograph NFL football half-time shows and the Olympic opening ceremonies then in the summer she would travel to Sendai, Japan where she taught dance for five years. In 1987 she was named the Activities Director at Arlington where she remained until 1999 when she was hired as King's first Activities Director. In 2005 she stepped away from teaching and enjoyed raising her own children. Eight years ago, she once again returned to King High as the Activities Director. She lives with her husband and has five children. Four of her kids, Kaylee, Deantre, and Carl, all graduated from Arizona State University. Her youngest Kassie, played basketball for and graduated from California State University Los Angeles. In addition she has three grandchildren.

Mrs. Montgomery has enjoyed thirty-plus years in education, having been a mathematics teacher, instructional coach, staff development specialist, university lecturer in mathematics education, and for the last nine years, high school assistant principal - now entering her fourth year here at MLKHS. Mrs. Montgomery has a passion for helping students find out how awesome they are, each in their own way. She lives in Riverside with her husband Gary, and has two adult children, Doree and Jack, who graduated from Riverside Unified School District and went on to college. In fact, her daughter is a teacher here in RUSD. She is happy to be at ML King High School, where she was part of the inaugural teaching staff in 1999!

  David Waldram, Assistant Principal (Curriculum and Instruction)

Mr. Waldram began his career in K-12 education in 2007 teaching various courses in history, video production, and Model United Nations. In 2015, Mr. Waldram started as an administrator in the Riverside Unified School District where he currently serves as an Assistant Principal at Martin Luther King High School. Mr. Waldram received both his Bachelor's in Film and TV Production and his Master's in Teaching from Chapman University. Go Panthers! In his spare time, Mr. Waldram enjoys coaching MUN teams, creating film/media projects, and actively serving in his church and community. Mr. Waldram and his amazing wife Kendra have four wonderful children. Mr. Waldram loves working with the terrific students, staff, and community at Martin Luther King High School. Go wolves!
